Flourish Penrith

 Flourish Penrith is a welcoming and inclusive community project for refugees, migrants and asylum seekers living in and around Penrith. We provide a friendly, relaxed and safe space where people can meet others, build friendships, share experiences, access useful information, receive peer support and take part in creative activities. Whether you are new to the area or have been living in Penrith for some time, Flourish is a place to connect with others, discover opportunities and feel part of the local community.

My Community Penrith 

Our fortnightly coffee mornings are a relaxed opportunity to meet new people, have a chat and build connections. Come along for a coffee, conversation and a friendly welcome. You can meet people from different backgrounds, share experiences and find out more about what is happening in the local community. 

Creative Sessions Blue Jam Arts Space 

Explore your creativity through informal and accessible creative activities. You do not need any previous experience or artistic skills — just come along, try something new and enjoy being creative with others.

 Peer Support 

Flourish is also a space where people can support and encourage one another. Sharing experiences with others who may have faced similar challenges can help people feel less isolated and more confident. Through peer support, you can:

• Meet people with different experiences and backgrounds
• Share ideas, experiences and practical information
• Give and receive encouragement
• Build confidence and friendships
• Learn from one another
• Feel more connected and supported

Finding your way around local services can sometimes be difficult, particularly when you are new to an area. At Flourish, we can help you find information about local services, community activities and opportunities and, where appropriate, signpost or refer you to relevant organisations and specialist services.
